SPA quick releases are used in the BTCC British GT, ALMS such is their quality. The involuted spline design of the mechanism incorporates a master spline that allows both perfect orientation and alignment. The steering wheel boss is manufactured from aircraft specification material and the inner splinned hub is then hard anodised for both strength and durability.
The electric quick release incorporates Lemo 8 pin connectors in both the hub and shaft and comes pre-wired with 1 m on the shaft and 1/2 m on the hub enabling you to mount all the necessary controls and switches on the steering wheel without unsightly wiring.
They are available in 20mm and 23mm internal diameter splined mechanisms and in a choice of EN3B or 4130 metals.
SPA Design quick release steering wheel mechanism conforms to the latest FIA technical specification as defined in Appendix J Article 255 dated 01-01-03 5.7 3.7 Steering Wheel.
