The M3 comes with 200 cell cats as standard (twice the restriction over CSL 100 cell cats) and significant power gains can be made with a higher quality HJS motor sport cat utilising 100 cells. Half the cell count = double the airflow.
Milltek only use HJS motor sport cats in their systems as they are World renowned as the best in the business. A significant gain in power can be felt once fitted (typically 8-10bhp just from the cats alone) which feels a lot like an ECU re-map without the associated risks to warranty. They do add a little volume to the sound though.
