Hayward & Scott came to prominence when they designed the exhausts for the original Ford works RS200 in the late eighties. Since then they have been responsible for the Ford works Sierra and Escort Cosworths and sole supplier to the Mitsubishi WRC team as well as counltess OEM road and race vehicles. It's this history of excellence that places Hayward & Scott at the forefront of performance exhaust manufacture.
The Z4M performance exhaust is a joint venture between XL Raceparts and Hayward & Scott and has the following benefits over the OEM system
- Handcrafted Stainless steel BS304 in 18/16 SWG mandrel bent without any necking on the bends
- It is ighter helping to reduce the centre of gravity and improve handling and performance
- It allows the S54 engine to breath better and is independently proven to increase BHP
- The same drone free user friendliness at low speeds but full on visceral rasp at high revs, exactly how a perfomance exhaust should be.
The exhaust is available in 2 states of tune "street" which has an OEM style mid sliencer to keep low level noise to a minimum or "race" that has straight through style pipes allowing the deep burble to be realised.
