Diffusers work in conjunction with other aerodynamic components of a car to help produce downforce. Because a car displaces air as it moves forward, the air molecules in the rear of the car get disrupted causing a vacuum of low pressure air.
To help channel the high speed air flow coming from underneath the car, diffusers redirects the high speed air flow to smoothly transition into the low pressure vacuum in the rear. This encourages a smoother flowing air flow underneath the car, creating downforce and reducing drag and maximizing the effect of other aerodynamic components such as aerodynamic wings and splitters.
The Diffuser has been specifically developed to allow use of a standard exhaust configuration rather than having to carry out expensive exhaust fabrication to re route, but please note that the wheel well will need removing/modifying to create sufficient space.
It is available in 2 different angles, 7degrees for minimum drag and 17 degrees for maximum downforce and in Carbon or Twintex construction
